FAQs
What if a class or mini-retreat is fully booked?
Make sure to join the waiting list. If a spot opens up (which often happens), you'll be notified by email and can secure your place.
Can I claim Physio-led Yoga on my health insurance?
This depends on your insurance plan. Please check with your provider. While these classes are taught by a physiotherapist, they are not considered physiotherapy.
What level of mobility or ability do I need to join?
I can offer modifications for injuries, limitations or pain, but you’ll need basic independent mobility to join my group classes or mini-retreats. Before signing up, make sure you have no major issues with sitting, kneeling, lying on the floor, and getting up and down. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out to me before booking.
Can I do PhysioYoga instead of Physiotherapy?
Physio led Yoga can be helpful for general health and recovery and is a great addition to therapies like Physiotherapy and Psychotherapy. However, it’s not a substitute for medical advice or individual treatment. If you experience any new symptoms, always consult your healthcare provider first.
What’s the minimum age for attending?
Attendees for classes and mini-retreats must be 18+ years.
Can I join if I’m pregnant?
My classes & mini-retreats are pregnancy-friendly. Just be sure to get approval from your healthcare provider first, and let me know before you attend so I can offer you suitable modifications depending on your stage of pregnancy.
What should I know if I’m new to your classes or mini-retreats?
Try not to eat just before practicing. Leave about an hour after a meal or 30 minutes after a snack.
Bring a bottle of water and sip as needed.
Wear comfy clothes that stretch and make sure you can tuck in loose ends for upside-down moves. Bring socks and a jumper to stay warm when we’re not moving much. Toilets are available if you need to get changed.
All equipment is provided. You are welcome to bring your own if you like.
Check directions in advance and arrive early to allow time for parking and getting settled.
Feeling a bit nervous? Totally normal. Everyone’s focused on their own practice and I always offer plenty of options so you can go at your own pace. You'll be grand, I promise!
